Events
One of MLAA's major objectives is to provide opportunities for members to improve and update their professional skills by attending regular workshops, training classes and product exhibitions.
To achieve this, a number of events are conducted throughout Australia and New Zealand each year for members. They include the MLAA's Annual Lock and Security Expo which attracts over 400 delegates, local Branch events, TAFE training classes, suppliers' product workshops and business development programs.
Lock & Security Expo
The Lock and Security Expo is an international, world class event and features Australia's largest exhibition of locks and related security products which are displayed and demonstrated over two days. In conjunction with the Exhibition, a diverse range of training classes and workshops are conducted for members and their employees. These include refresher courses and specialised training in new, high technology products and services.

Branch Meetings & Events
A number of regular Branch events are held during the year and these are often hosted by industry suppliers who use such opportunities to keep members abreast of new developments in products and services.

In addition to technical training, MLAA has introduced programs which will enable members to develop their financial management, staff development and business devlopment skills.
Many of the training sessions are provided free of charge while others are heavily subsidised by the MLAA.
