2009 Lock and Security Expo

This event has been held annually for 26 years and has become the premier event in the industry's calendar.  It features:

• a two day exhibition featuring the latest products and services from all around the world,
• a two day training program which enables participants to learn new skills, brush up  existing skills and take part in hands-on demonstrations of new products and technology;
• a cocktail reception and official opening;
• a Gala Awards Dinner, and
• unique opportunities for delegates to network with colleagues, suppliers and other industry stakeholders.

The event is traditionally strongly supported by local and international sponsors and exhibitors.

We invite you to join us at this year's Lock and Security Expo which is to be held for the first time in the Acer Arena at Sydney's Olympic Park.  It will run from 8th to 10th October 2009.

 This world class venue will enable us to expand the number of exhibitors and delegates and we expect a record number of trade suppliers and other service providers at this popuilar event.

The theme for this year's Expo is "Bringing the Industry Together".  We are proud of the reputation that this event has gained over the years but we now believe that there is an opportunity for it to become an industry wide event for our business sector.  Our aim is to broaden its reach beyond the MLAA membership.

2008 Lock & Security Expo - Gold Coast

Nearly 500 delegates from Australia, New Zealand and Europe attended the 26th annual MLAA Lock and Security Expo 2008 at the Sheraton Mirage Resort on the Gold Coast from 2nd to 4th October 2008.  Nineteen exhibitors showcased a wide range of lock, locking systems, locksmithing equipment, software and other security products and services in the 800 sq m Grand Ballroom.

A total of 680 participants attended the 23 training classes conducted by TAFE staff, product suppliers and MLAA members.  Highlights of the program were:

• 2-part workshop on manipulating mechanical combination locks by computer
• ASIO - T4 Protective Security Mythbusters session
• Master Keying workshop

The Gala Dinner and Awards presentation drew 320 members, exhibitors and guests.

2010 Lock and Security Expo - Melbourne
